David Spencer's Education Paragon is a free educational resource portal helping David Spencer's secondary school students, their parents and teaching colleagues with understanding, designing, applying and delivering assessment, curriculum, educational resources, evaluation and literacy skills accurately and effectively. This wiki features educational resources for Indigenous Aboriginal education, field trips for educators, law and justice education, music education and outdoor, environmental and experiential education. Since our web site launch on September 27, 2006, online site statistics and web rankings indicate there are currently 1,888 pages and 20,185,651 page views using 7.85 Gig of bandwidth per month. Criteria: personalized, clear, precise, meaningful, understandable by students and parents.
The Growing Success document asks for a 3 part comment:
1. Describe what the student learned.
2. Describe a strength of the student.
3. Identify next steps for improvement – including a home focus and a school focus.
Format: Focus on progress (most consistent, most recent).
Tips:
Although similar comments for students in your class are acceptable, strive to individualize the
comments for each student.
Select “Teacher Interview Request” if you would like to meet with parents or guardians on Parent
Night.
“$ is assigned an “I” indicating that he/she has not yet completed key learning activities. Evidence to report student achievement is insufficient at this time. $ is encouraged to make arrangements to complete missing course work as soon as possible.”

Greater effort to complete all necessary assignments in this course is required to be successful. $ is encouraged to attend class regularly, hand in work on a regular basis and is advised to attend weekly tutorial sessions. Scenario 5: Student is attending class but has not handed in any work. No “official” mark on the report card
Comment #565: $ has attended class on a regular basis; however, no work has been submitted. In order to ensure completion of this course by the end of the semester, work must be completed on a regular basis. @@ is advised to attend weekly tutorial sessions to ensure completion of the course by the end of the semester. Scenario 6: Student is attending class and handing in work but is receiving a failing grade. “Official” mark on the report card
