David Spencer's Education Paragon is a free educational resource portal helping David Spencer's secondary school students, their parents and teaching colleagues with understanding, designing, applying and delivering assessment, curriculum, educational resources, evaluation and literacy skills accurately and effectively. This wiki features educational resources for Indigenous Aboriginal education, field trips for educators, law and justice education, music education and outdoor, environmental and experiential education. Since our web site launch on September 27, 2006, online site statistics and web rankings indicate there are currently 1,888 pages and 20,185,651 page views using 7.85 Gig of bandwidth per month. Pages are written, edited, published and hosted by Brampton, Ontario, Canada based educator David Spencer. Cycling Trip from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario

Wednesday

8:30 a.m. Students and staff meet in room 4 at School to load gear and bikes on the truck.

9:30 a.m. Depart for Fort Erie. Take Hwy #410, Hwy #403 and QEW.

10:30 a.m. Drive to the Walmart in Stoney Creek and pick up Teacher Jess. The Walmart is located at 500 Centennial Pkwy N (at QEW), Stoney Creek, ON L8E 0G2 Map.

11:30 a.m. Lunch in Fort Erie. Park at Wendy's and Tim Horton's at 11-37 Thyret Avenue, Fort Erie, ON L2A 1M3 map


12:45 p.m. Tour of Old Fort Erie, 350 Lakeshore Road, Fort Erie, ON L0S 1J0 (905) 871-0540 map

1:45 p.m. Mount bikes from beach on Lake Erie and ride the Niagara Trail to Riverside Park. See the map

3:30 p.m. Set up our campsite at Riverside Park

4:00 p.m. Guest speaker Zig Misiak speaks to our group about the War of 1812 and the involvement of Aboriginals.

5:30 p.m. Dinner

10:30 p.m. Lights out and sleep

Thursday

7:00 a.m. Rise. Pack up gear, Eat Breakfast. Prepare bag lunches. Load Truck.

8:30 a.m. Cycle along the Niagara trail to Niagara Falls.

11:00 a.m. In Niagara Falls visit the Niagara Daredevil Exhibit located at 6170 Fallsview Boulevard Niagara Falls, ON L2G 7T8

12:00 noon Bag Lunch by the waterfall

  • Cycle to Niagara-on-the-Lake have a short tour of Old Fort George phone (905) 468-6614.

5:30 p.m. Dinner

  • Games
  • Music
  • Campfire

10:30 p.m. Lights out and sleep

Friday

11:00 a.m. Bus Pickup at Queens Royal Park, Front Steet, Niagara-on-the-Lake Map.

Drive to the Walmart in Stoney Creek and drop off Teacher Jess. The Walmart is located at 500 Centennial Pkwy N (at QEW), Stoney Creek, ON L8E 0G2 Map.

Lunch at Wendy's Tim Hortons, 70 Biscayne Crescent, Brampton ON L6W 4S1 (off First Gulf Blvd and Steeles Ave.) Map.

2:00 p.m. Return to school. Unload gear, hang up tents, wash dishes. Head home.
