Newspaper Article
1. Find two (2) newspaper articles
a) Find a one newspaper article, magazine article or web based news story that relates to a Canadian event or issue and one article that relates to the United States. Cut out or print each article.
b) Write down the media sources (newspaper/magazine name), dates and page numbers.
c) Write a brief summary of each article and describe the parties involved.
d) Using your general knowledge, for each article describe the impact of this issue or event or suggest one solution that you think would help improve the situation or solve the issue.

2. On the map of North America provided, use the handout sheet and an atlas and label the provinces and American states. Don't forget to label Hawaii. With a pencil crayon, lightly shade three (3) Canadian Provinces or Territories and three (3) American States.
